Romanian Film Promotion (APFR) is one of the most important entities in the Romanian cinema. Romanian Film Promotion was established in 2001 in order to support young filmmakers and film professionals, the promotion of European values but also the formation of a new generation of viewers.

In its 16 years of activity, Romanian Film Promotion engaged an impressive number of viewers in its events and contributed massively to promote Romanian films domestically and abroad.

Some of the biggest or well known events organized by the association are: Transilvania International Film Festival, Gopo Awards, Full Moon Horror & Fantasy Film Festival, TIFF Caravan, White Night of Romanian Films and EducaTIFF - the media and cinema educational program for children and teenagers.

In 2006, Romanian Film Promotion became a full member of the European Film Promotion (EFP), which comprises 38 organizations from 37 countries. This status acquired through affiliation allows it to take part in promotional programs and activities organized by European Film Promotion.
